The system was designed to allow more accurate and timely response of emergency services to emergency situations. Process When the process of registering a plat for building or development or a building permit is started, the Equalization Office or City/Town Planning Office will forward the attached form to the Zoning Office. This form will detail the locations of the proposed development or construction and any other pertinent information. No Addresses will be assigned without submittal of this form by the property owner/purchaser. The process of assigning the address will take a minimum of 1-2 days and will be assigned by Zoning & 911 Addressing Office. The office hours are Monday & Tuesday 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. No addresses will be assigned without either the presence of a driveway or a location clearly marked for a driveway to the property. Addresses may not be assigned without the presence of a road on the property if in a development unless arrangements are made with the Zoning Office by the developer. Named Roads The Davison County and / or the City of Mitchell Planning Boards will approve named roads. This approval will be granted after being reviewed by the Davison County Local Emergency Planning Committee and forwarded for approval. The Developer may make suggestions as to possible names for the road. However, the purpose of the application and review is to maintain the integrity of the established system and not all requests may be in the best interest of this purpose. Not all requests will be accepted based on duplication and possible problems arising in dispatching emergency services. Guidelines: Multiple dwelling developments. Physical Layout of development.
