Motion carried. \ \ \pard\pardeftab720\qc\pardirnatural \b \cf0 RESOLUTION #061708-02\ \ RESOLUTION SETTING DIGITAL PLAT FEES OF BACK RECORDS FOR DAVISON COUNTY TITLE COMPANY AND THE TITLE COMPANY \ \pard\pardeftab720\qc\pardirnatural \b0 \cf0 \ \pard\pardeftab720\ql\qnatural\pardirnatural \cf0 WHEREAS, the abstract companies are required by SDCL 36-13-10 to have a plant; and\ \ WHEREAS, there are currently two abstract companies doing business in Davison County, South Dakota; i.e. Davison County Title Company and The Title Company. \ \ WHEREAS, the Register of Deeds in 2006/2007 caused all of the plats on file which had not already been digitized or those that had been digitized but were scanned in parts to be scanned as a whole map by renting a wide-scale scanner and providing the labor to do this project; and \ \ WHEREAS, SDCL 7-9-15(5) provides that the abstracters may receive copies of the records in an amount not to exceed the actual cost to the county for providing such copies; and \ \ WHEREAS, a cost analysis reflects the average cost of reproducing these old plats and maps to be at $3.81 per plat; and \ \ WHEREAS, SDCL 7-9-15(2) provides that the general public may purchase a copy of these records at the rate of $1.00, plus .20 for each page after five pages. \ \ NOW, THEREFORE, the cost to Davison County Title Company and The Title Company for those plats that were filed previous to the time the Register of Deeds digitized her records and those plats which were digitized but had to be scanned in parts due to a smaller scanner but at sometime later have been or will be re-scanned in whole when a scanner can be obtained to do the same shall be charged the sum of $1.00 per plat or map. \ All other fees for abstracters that have been set by resolution dated April 24, 2007 and December 14, 2004 shall stay in full force and effect except for those documents described herein. \ \ Dated this 17th day of June, 2008.\ \ \ \ __________________________________________\ Davison Co.
