DAVISON COUNTY RESOLUTION #061008-01 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING County Federal Aid Bridge Replacement BRF 6042(01), PCN 6387 Structure & Approach Grading (2-10x10 Precast Box Culvert) Federal Bridge ID # 18-044-210 Whereas, the Davison County Board of County Commissioners desires the replacement of the bridge hereinafter described as: 265th Street between 398th Avenue and 399th Avenue or County Road 5-41-6 and; Whereas, Davison County is obligated and hereby agrees to provide proper maintenance as required by the Federal Highway Act as amended and supplemented thereto for project after construction is completed and to regulate or cause to be regulated the installation of utility facilities within the limits of the right-of-way of the proposed project in accordance with State and Federal requirements and; Whereas, Davison County is obligated and hereby agrees to reimburse the State for all costs not reimbursable with Special Bridge Replacement Funds and; Whereas, the bridge is in need of replacement for the following reasons: The sufficiency rating is 40.3. DISCUSSION Bruce Haines appeared before the Board to discuss the Davison County Conservation District 2009 budget. He reported that assessed values go up 10% with tree planting for property enhancement. Trees also cut costs of heating and cooling and supply oxygen. The District will probably have a 30% increase in tree planting from 2008. They are asking for the same amount for their 2009 budget that they received in 2008, which was $25,000. Haines stated that the Davison County Conservation District is something to be proud of. The surrounding counties are struggling with their districts.
